  We love the Kihei area, and the Kihei Akahi was really nice. The sunset from the balcony was spectacular, it's walking distance from a decent beach, ABC store, a health food store, and Dennys. The air conditioner kind of sucked, but the cross breeze with the doors open was wonderful. The condo was very clean, and well stocked. We will definitely stay there again.

  Great Condo. Very clean. Excellent view. Unit is close to many beaches. Be sure to take advantage of the happy hour at Moose's. We would definitely staty there again. Great value.

  Would be great if there was glass cleaner and bathroom foam cleaner to help while staying. Would be esaier on housekeeping after the visit.

  We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at Kihei Akahi. The grounds were well kept, the swimming pool/s sparkling clean! Then when we opened the door to our unit, D-603, we were doubly surprised. The unit was newly updated with granite countertops, new sinks, fixtures, tile flooring and new tile, oversized shower. All very clean too!! When we walked onto the lanai we were able to see whales breeching and blowing, then the sunset was awesome. It's a great location, close to eateries (great breakfast at Fred's), shops and especially the beach. So far, barring future construction, there's a large green space behind the property. So being away from the street noise, we were able to hear birds singing. Although our stay was intruded upon by a massive windstorm (unfortunate event) we had a wonderful time. I would recommend the Kihei Akahi to anyone looking for a great place to stay at a reasonable price.

  We had never been to Maui before but Kihei had been recommended as a lovely spot with fairly good weather and nice beaches.The Kihei Akahi was right across the street from Kamaole Beach 2 so the location was great. It did rain for the first 2 days we were here BUT we did have the beach to ourselves at 11:00a.m.! No one else was in the water but us. We marveled at how beautiful the sand was and how warm the water was.
  The walk up the hill to D building was great exercise but hard work. BUT... we loved the view from there and hopefully will stay there again.

  We stayed in this Condo for the first half of our honeymoon and it was Amazing. The condo was extremely clean and in great shape. We actually preferred staying here to the big fancy resorts we stayed at for the second half of our honeymoon. Great location in Kihei and such a short walk to the beach. The view from the lanai was excellent. Be sure to read the guest book for good ideas of what to do around Maui. We are trying to figure out how to go back as soon as possible.

  The condo was absolutely wonderful and the view was spectacular!!! The sunsets OMG!!!The condo was well stocked with everything you would need. No need to rent snorkling gear or boogie boards. The kitchen had everything too! Even the pots and pans to cook with were top quality. Two negatives were the sofa bed (poor quality),but then again who has ever slept on a good sofa bed,and the air conditioner. I had to purchase an air mattress to sleep on. The air conditioner was either to small for the size of the room or just not working right and would not keep anything cool. I would recommend this condo to would be especially good for a couple who didn't need the extra bed. I would like to thank Hawaiian Holidays staff. They were superfast in answering my questions and the whole booking process was a breeze! Will definetly use them again next time.

  We highly recommend Hawaii Holiday as a rental agent--what they promised is exactly what we received--no unpleasant surprises--and the crew were very helpful with answering questions ahead of our visit.
  
  This unit was in excellent condition with beautiful lanai views. The welcome letter from the Hawai'i Holiday folks and the condo owners gave very useful info including restaurant recommendations. (to which we add the grilled fish or fish & chips lunch at the Pupu Lounge and the Kona Lava Java ice cream at Hawaiian Ice Cream store.) Mahalo to Sharene, Denise, Sue at HH and Charlene and James who own the condo.
  
  The only down side to this property was a function of the development and building itself and not something that the owner can change: the D building is nicely set back and off the street so quiet in one regard. But the architecture places bedrooms at back of the building. Bedroom windows are high up louvres so not views which is ok, but they are on the concrete external hallway over the parking lot so you hear all the parking lot and outdoor hallway noises (doors, horns) as if right outside your window. Overall this was a minor problem as overnight activity is minimal in the lot. This was most noticeable during afternoon naps. It would be lovely if the property management would add a sign to ask guests not to use remote car locking if that makes the car horn beep!!! Again, nothing that the condo owners have control over, and this was very minor compared to staying in a lovely unit.
  
  Kehei is convenient to exploring all the South Mau'i beaches, and even west Mau'i and Haleakala. If the wonderful trip to Hana is in your plans, we highly recommend staying a few nights on that coast--it is too lovely to just pass through.

  I highly recommend this condo because it is central to everything. Not only is it nicely decorated and maintained, the beach park right in front of the complex is nice and there are lots of restaurants within walking distance.
