  This was our second stay at 313 and we loved it. The location is perfect...easy drive to Wailea or Lahaina and shopping. The beach is a short walk next door. We loved playing on the big, green lawn every evening. A beautiful view from the condo. The unit is in great condition and everything is super clean (I am pretty picky, too!). The kitchen is really well stocked with all you need. We will be back for sure! :)

  THIS WAS THE 2ND TIME WE HAVE STAYED AT THIS COMPLEX AND IT IS DECEIVING ON THE OUTSIDE. OUR UPDATED CONDO WAS FAB! LOVED HAVING THE 2 FLAT SCREEN TV'S; THE KITCHEN WAS WELL STOCKED WITH EQUIPMENT TO COOK, WHICH WE ENJOY DOING, AND WE REALLY LIKED THE KING BED; IT WAS VERY COMFORTABLE! IT WAS VERY CLEAN EXCEPT THE SHOWER LINER WAS SL MOLDY AS WAS THE TUB SEAL; BOTH AN EASY FIX I WOULD THINK.... EVERY THING ELSE WAS NEAT AND CLEAN AND WE WILL STAY HERE AGAIN IF WE RETURN TO MAUI.   We enjoyed our stay at the Kihei Surfside. This is a nicely renovated unit with high end kitchen, appliances and tile.
  
  The unit was clean and had sufficient linens and supplies.
  
  I have stayed a this condo complex three times. The only downside of this unit is that it is at the end of the building near the garbage chute and recycling. This makes it very noisy early in the morning. In the future, I will be asking for a unit on the other side of the building.
  
  Overall we enjoyed the spot and the staff with Hawaii Holiday Vacation Rentals were friendly, helpful and provided clear instructions.

  I rented the unit for my adult daughter and my college age grand-daughter. They have usually stayed in Kaanapali but wanted to try Kihei. They were extremely impressed with the unit, the beach, and the lack of wind which they heard could be a problem. They would love to return to that exact unit.

  This condo is absolutely wonderful!!! I know it is hard to find a place to stay over the internet but this condo is even better than the pictures! I wish we could have stayed there forever. It is clean and you will never find a better view anywhere in Maui! There is no air conditioning and that can get a little uncomfortable at times but you are in Hawaii and the trade winds help out a lot! You should stay here and hopefully make wondeful memories like we did!

  The location is awesome! We woke up to an amazing view every morning. The only complaint I have is that I am a light sleeper and the birds in the trees outside the bedroom window woke me up every morning. Other than that.... I loved the condo and would definitely stay there again.

  We enjoyed our stay very much, however it was hot and stuffy when we first arrived. It would have been nice if fans had been turned on and patio opened. Otherwise very enjoyable with gas grills available on the property which all guests shared. Nice beach nearby with pool available as well as outdoor bar next door with happy hour!

  We were there during the March 11 tsunami and I must applaud the on-site management. They handled the whole situation in a very calm and organized manner. They were very well prepared with evacuation maps and informed us what we needed to do to evacuate the area. Fortunately, there was no damage to the area.
  
  The only problem I had with the unit was with the pillows. The feather pillows were too flat and the other pillows were too hard. I would recommend replacing them.

The complex is ideally located just a few yards from the beach, great ocean views, and a beautiful large lawn area in front. The unit is very well appointed and quite comfortable - perfect for two. The furnishing and bed were very nice, perfect after a day of sun and sand. You will not be disappointed.

  The check in was as easy as it gets. It is nice to have the door key in a lock box next to the door. Very nicely remodeled condo. Here are our Pros and Cons:
  
  Pros:
  1.) Beautiful view from the lanai and the dining area.
  2.) Nicely remodeled, fairly new counters, sinks and appliances in the kitchen and both bathrooms.
  3.) Very comfortable bed, with several sets of linens.
  4.) Nice large flat screen TV in living room.
  5.) Free wireless internet - weak, but free.
  6.) Small, but adequate boom box type stereo with iPod docking station.
  7.) In-room electronic safe – Very cool!
  8.) Very nice lawn area and loungers for sunning and spending the day outdoors.
  
  Cons:
  1.) Front door handle/lock set needs to be replaced.
  2.) We found the furniture to be uncomfortable.
  3.) We were promised beach chairs and found only one old and dilapidated folding patio chair. We wound up buying two new beach chairs at $30 each from Costco and took them home with us this time. I’m tired of buying expensive beach chairs every Hawaiian vacation I take.
  4.) The blender was a real cheapy – two speed, it couldn’t even crush ice for a pina colada and apparently the pitcher wasn’t dishwasher safe as it cracked when we washed it.
  5.) The cookware was OK, the non-stick pans large enough to cook bacon in were so worn out I wouldn’t cook with them for fear of eating the Teflon coating. It looked like others had found the same arrangement so they went out and bought inexpensive non-stick fry pans for their vacation.
  6.) The bedroom set had only one night stand for holding things like glasses, water, jewelry, etc.
  7.) On arrival, we felt the bathtub could have been cleaner.
  8.) There were no cleaning supplies in the condo, except a broom and dustpan.
  9.) There was no screen on the sliding glass window by the dining area which would have been nice for airing out the condo when it is closed up for most of the day.

  This is our second time staying at the Kihei Surfside. Great location. Some basic maintanence is required in this unit. Ice Maker and filtered water was not working. Beach chairs in poor condition with one broken. Screen door does not slide well. Perhaps needs some oil. Minor adjustments to enhance this beautiful property.

  Great location - we've come back to Surfside many times. 313 is a lovely unit with great upgrades (especially like the filtered water unit, the TV's, and the good bed. Kitchen was very well equipped (note: need to replace all of the teflon pans). Bathrooms were well done (needed to have a bath mat in the slippery tub, but everything else was great.
  Since all notices about rental units now inform guests to close the lanai doors when you go to bed, the bedroom is exceptionally warm, even in winter. We will consider moving to a unit with A/C next year.

  Hi.. this condo was great.. decorated very tastefully and a nice building. I especially liked that they heated the pool and grounds were kept up well. What I didnt like about the condo was that the kitchen counter bar stools were very uncomfortable tho stylish. There was also no nightstand and light on the right side of the bed so we had to bring a lamp in from the living room. Otherwise it was a very comfortable and convenient.

  This is a great location with close access to amazing beaches. It's as close as you can get to Wailea without the Wailea prices. The grounds are well maintained. The negative that we found was that it was very loud in the mornings and the windows don't keep any of the noise out. Between garage/recycling pick-up and grounds crews starting their leaf blowers & lawn mowers, it is impossible to sleep past 7:30. If you expect to be up and out of the condo by then, then this would be a great fit for you. If you are looking forward to a quiet morning of lounging, don't stay here.

    Having just stayed in Kihei Surfside 313 myself late in March, 2011, I can attest that this comment should be taken with a grain of salt. I am a very light sleeper and was incredibly comfortable lounging in this condo well into the late morning.
