  We enjoyed the stay very much, it was like staying at friend's house! There is snorkeling gear, umbrellas, boogie board and all the things you need and forgot to take..
  The view from the apartment is great and the studio is spacious. Very nice beach is 3 minute walking distance.
  The property manager was very helpful in addressing our needs. When we go to Maui next time, would definitely rent this studio again!

  We rented two condos, 516 and 603. 516 was a studio and the ONLY bad thing to say is it didn't have a dishwasher. 603 was a one bedroom, with a pull-out bed in the living room. I actually preferred the pull-out as you received a great cross breeze..bedroom was a little warm for me. These condos were a 5 minute walk to the beach, 15 min. walk to the Abc store, health food store, and Denny's restaurant. 10 min. drive to Big (McKenna) beach, best boogie boarding beach in Maui. HUGE waves, not for wimps. (=

  We have traveled all over the world usually on a sailboat or doing a home exchange. This was our first time in Maui, we are living in Oahu for the winter and came to see it. We knew we would never be in the apt. except for b'fast and to sleep so I was looking for a nice value. I would highly recommend this unit. It was very well equipped,and beautifully decorated. We loved the lanai for breakfast and watching the sun rise over the volcano and the bonus view of the sea. Location was excellent. Our reservation was handled so professionally. If we have time to return to Maui in the future, this would be our choice.

  The condo is a good size for two people who will be spending most of their time exploring. It would have been nice to have a dedicated bed rather than the foldout but it was comfortable enough. A/C would also be nice but what not necessary as the ocean breeze came in through the windows and the ceiling fan created nice air circulation. The sunsets from the balcony were picture perfect every night! I would definitely stay here again. No question.

  If I was to return with a friend I do not feel that I could stay here if 2 beds were needed. I tried sleeping on the hide a bed just because I wanted to be by the sliding glass door and under the fan. It was very uncomfortable. A futon in it's place would be better. The murphy bed was great. So I would say that this studio is great for a couple or a single. Don't expect to utilize the hide a bed as another bed but it is comfortable to sit on. I would stay here again if I came by myself like I did this time. I felt right a home. Nice quiet area,the pool was great and the beach and sunsets were great too. Within walking distance to so many restaurants and some shopping.

  Time spent in paradise is always spectacular and so relaxing. Would I do another long stay in Maui? In a heart beat. I can't ever remember being this relaxed in my life. The only negative things I would have to say is I find the island getting too busy and quite noisy but I guess that is to be expected anywhere in a very overcrowded world. That is so unfortunate. But on the up side it is still a wonderful place to spend time. Mahalo and aloha. John

The grounds are beautiful and both condos have been very clean, cozy, and supplied with extras such as beach towels and coolers ( which really come in handy).   I had a great experience at Kihei Akahi. D516 is small, but cozy for 1-2 people. The balcony is amazing with a full view of Haleakala and the ocean. We were able to watch both the sun rise from behind Haleakala in the morning and the sun set in the evening - you can't ask for a better view than that! The condo is set away from the road so you don't hear the noise, which was great. It's right across the street from fantastic Kamaole Beach II & really convenient to enjoy the Wailea & Kihei areas either by car or on foot. This is a great value condo that I look forward to renting again sometime.

  First of all I want to thank Su and Tara for all your help. You made life easy. I loved my experience and the accommodations suited us perfectly. Just a few comments...please inform John (the owner of suite D-516) that a deep clean and paint job is necessary. The overall cleanliness was ok and the gal who does the cleaning did a great job but you can only do so much in the time allowed. On that note it was suggested we tip the cleaning staff but I felt that this was not necessary as we paid $85.00 for this service. We left the suite in exceptional shape and everything was immaculate. The bedding was washed and folded, floors mopped, dishes done, bathroom disinfected and trash removed. I even removed some stains on the carpet and washed the hood fan above the stove and the bath mats. Our overall experience was great and if I ever come back to Maui I will definitely contact your agency and attempt to rent D-516 again. The mountain and water views were breath taking. Thank you so much.

  Wow what a great trip! Maui is paradise. We loved the location of our condo and would definaty go back to the same area again. The condo was well equiped with everything we needed.   Kehei was warm, sunny, and a pleasant break. The management company was professional to work with. The propery was well situated in the heart of Kehei's main tourist strip. The only negatives were: The bathroom smelled like someone had thrown up on the floor. I put the throw rugs in the wash for a double run and that seem to take care of it. Some of the amenities in the room were warn and needed updating: the "mattress" was not one, the couch well used.

  Great location. We were able to enjoy walking along beautiful beaches, easy access to amenities, and a leisurely drive to Lahaina. The drive to Hana was spectacular and we had a great evening in Paia afterwards. We really appreciated the CD driving guide provided. Unfortunately, we forgot it in our rental car. We apologize about that.
  The only complaints are with the fridge and stove. Both needed some maintenance since a knob kept falling off of the gas stove, and the fridge is quite old.

  We rented the unit for our son and daughter-in-law. They thought the accommodation was just about perfect. We had had a studio in Kihei Akahi before but your unit was much superior. i.e. The door to the kitchen, the Murphy bed,The unit was immaculate.The bathroom set-up with washer/dryer was appreciated. They would repeat and I would stay there as well.

  The location was perfect - easy walk to beach, shops and restaurants. Usually air conditioning isn't an issue for me, but this trip it would have helped. I was so grateful for the extra fan. (It would be good to get the sound system in working order. I had hoped to enjoy some Hawaiian music during my stay.) Otherwise, it was lovely.

  My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay at Kihei Akahi D-516. It was very clean and cute. It is quite small, but it's much bigger than a hotel room and it's perfect for two people. It had a great view of the sunrise, unfortunately you couldn't see the sunset but it was a three minute walk to the beach to see it. What we really loved about it was how well equipped it was. It was stocked with books, snorkel equipment, boogie boards, beach chairs, coolers, etc! That was really great for us when we were going on outings to be able to bring the gear along and not have to rent. We would definitely recommend checking out some of the great food right next door - Fred's Mexican Cafe, Moose McGillicuddy's, and the 808 Deli were really great for food and drink, and reasonably priced. Overall we had a great time in Maui and we could recommend this condo for others. We especially enjoyed eating dinner on the balcony with a drink and playing cards - perfect relaxing vacation!

  There are only 3 wash cloths which is insufficient. It means laundry has to be done more frequently than necessary.
  The broom is quite small (5"wide) so it takes a long time to sweep the apartment. A larger broom would be very useful. The cable was coiled up in a drawer, it would be helpful if there was a small note near the hookup directions for the computer letting the guest know its location. Or leave it hooked up to the box & have it hang behind the TV set.
  
  Everything was so clean, attractive, neat and provided me with a very comfortable set of rooms. Thanks for your efforts. I will return some day and would use the same condo without reservation. Thanks for making my visit pleasant.

  Lovely little studio apartment. Very close to the ocean, about a 3 minute walk. Was under the impression it had a BBQ. Turned out the complex has BBQ's by the pool. Perfect place to stay for an active couple. If you were planning on spending a lot of time in your apartment its probably to small. My girlfriend found the bed too soft. Don't take these as too negative though. Its a great little beach apartment. In a relaxed and friendly area.

  The first day the micowave blew up and a kitchen cabinet door fell off it's hinges. I found three screws at the park across the street and repaired the door. The condo was away from the highway so no traffic noise. management was helpful. ALL the electrical outlets need changed. I would have done that too, but my wife said we were on vacation. Over all-It was nice.

  This was our first trip to Hawaii and it was wonderful! The condo was MUCH smaller than what we thought by looking at the pictures. For 2 people it was okay but definitely no more than that (even a little small for 2 people). The full-size murphy bed is comfortable but the hide-a-bed was so incredibly uncomfortable! I would suggest updating at least the mattress if not the whole couch. The only other complaint I have is the fridge. For heaven's sake REPLACE IT! A used refrigerator isn't terribly expensive and this place needs it desperately. Overall the condo is a decent place for 2 people to stay, close to the beach and good restaurants. It needs some updating but served as a decent place to stay and very good price!

    We always appreciate constructive feedback, and for future renters, the renter was right and the refrigerator is being replaced this week! We happen to believe NO sofabed is comfortable, but we are sorry they felt it might have hindered their first stay in Hawaii. Again, for future renters; the studios are just under 500 sq ft. Larger than most hotel rooms. Like she said, you can't beat the price.

  While we had a great time on our trip, we were a little surprised to discover what we had actually rented. The photos made the spaces appear a bit larger than they really were and the ocean view was not worth the extra money. A garden view would probably have been better..especially since this unit is right next to the property driveway. We were also disappointed to find that the air does not flow through the condo that well, because there are not levelours above the bed, as in the one-bedroom units at this property (and with no A/C, the nights were too warm....especially since the floor fan in the room started making a terrible noise and had to be turned off). The scum around the bathroom faucets was definitely a turn-off,too. Add to that the constant and extreme change in water temperature while showering and it made the bathroom an un-fun place to be. Another much-needed feature is light-blocking curtains. The white curtains made the place look cheery, but waking up at 5:00 am Hawaii Time was not a pleasant thing. The murphy bed was comfortable enough, but the hide-a-bed was not.
  
  On an up note, we really appreciated the beach chairs, umbrellas, and cooler that were in the closet. All in all, the place only needs a few minor improvements and perhaps a new house-keeping service. The property is nice and the office staff friendly. The best beach is right across the street and has street parking every morning....go get coffee and then park on the road, so the beach stuff can just stay in the car each day!

We will address the issues you mentioned including a new fan, window treatments and perhaps photos that better show the size (though the square footage is displayed on our website). • The Price Is Right

  We would not complain at all about the price. It is located in the very back of the complex, which is a beautiful property with flowering hibiscus, plumeria, bird of paradise, all sorts of other flowering trees and shrubs, it's fantastic! The two pools are small, but nice. The location of the condo itself is the reason there's a "five minute walk to the beach" (Kama'ole Beach II, not a bad one at all). The view from the "lanai" (I call it a small balcony)of the mountain is nice and the distant view of the beach beyond the other condos is good too, but what is up with that empty yellowing field in the back?
  Also...The one bed is somewhat hard and the sofa bed is extra worn and lumpy. The linens were worn. The kitchen is worn, but we did enjoy having it, although without an A/C it really is too hot to use the oven or stove. The "high speed" internet never got a connection above low, and I couldn't do much on my laptop except check a few websites, even e-mail was slow or dropped. The overall room space isn't utilized well. It's too small for a sofa table, "coffee table" and the big lamps. Use wall space for sconces, shelves with doors, etc.
  It was really too small for 3 adults, but they did warn us, quite politely, I might add. It is a distance from Lahaina (20 miles), where all the parasailing, cruises, luaus and many other activities are located, but that was fine with us. We enjoyed our stay, and like the Kihei area with its mix of locals and tourists very much. The condo is very cozy.
